In the Tracker-Dashboard in the section "Administration/Devices" you can select the Mobile Locator and enter the 4 numbers in the telephone Settings. Make sure that the Mobile Locator is turned on and in GSM-coverage. The programming is active within minutes.

Why do I see only every 5 minutes an actual position?

The device is configured so that it sends every 5 minutes a current position, thus the battery will last considerably longer. You can query the current position manually at any time in the Tracker-Dashboard.

What happens if the battery is flat?

The Tracker switches itself off and is therefore no longer able to determine and transmit your position. After recharging the battery the device must be switched on and to be brought into the open with direct view to the sky until the GSM and GPS reception is up again.

What happens if there is no GSM connection?

The data is sent as soon as the device is again in a GSM coverage area.

Where can I reload the calling credit for the Mobile Locator?

The calling credit can be charged via credit card on the dashboard in the under Administration. If you there is not a credit card available, you can request an invoice by filling out the Support form at http://www.tracker.com/chen/support/supportformular.aspx and writing "calling credit requested for CHF xxx" in the text field. The calling credit will be increased upon payment of the invoice.

How can the Mobile Locator be switched to "silent"?

Switch to "silent":
Press the volume button "-" for 3 sec. until silent is confirmed by a vibration

Turn off "silent":
Press the volume button "+" for 3 sec. until it's confirmend by a sound.

Why does it happen that the position changes even though the Tracker is not moving?

The GPS precision of the Tracker is usually in the range of 10 meters. If the device does not move for a longer period, the so-called GPS-noise can result in changing positions. Also if the conditions for the GPS reception is not optimal, such as in buildings, the accuracy of the position is getting worse.

Why is the inital calling credit not shown in the Tracker-Dasbhoard?

The initial call credit is switched temporarily to the payment of the invoice subscription. Once the payment has been booked with us, even the calling credit is definitely enabled on your account

In the administration-section of the Tracker-Dashboard under "additional Actions" you can register the E-mail and/or SMS that will be sent when the button is pressed longer than 5 seconds.

You must activate the roaming option in order for the Tracker to work abroad. This costs start at CHF 10.00 a month. The tracker flat rate also applies in this case. The option can be cancelled again on a monthly basis.
